Canvas Quality Guide

With the range of websites offering canvases increasing, choosing the best quality print has become difficult.

Last year we supplied Digital Camera Magazine with a 50×50cm gallery-wrapped stretched canvas for review, where it was also compared against other manufacturer’s canvases. We were delighted by the magazine comments and they were impressed by our high standard of finish, colour rendition and overall image quality. Click here to read the review

However, canvas prints are not all created equally. Tesco Photo have also started printing canvases and the magazine review of their print finishes by saying - “Built to a budget, the Tesco canvas has no protective coating and lacks the option of full bleed around the edges. Image quality is lacklustre.”

All DesignerPrint canvas prints are printed at a high resolution on thick 340gsm canvas and stretched over a handmade Redwood pine frame. We use Epson UltraChrome pigment based inks, which means that our canvas prints will last for over 95 years when combined with the additional UV seal we apply. Every canvas is carefully inspected to make sure you receive the highest quality print, and we give you peace of mind by offering our no quibble replacement guarantee.
